Vinicius Jr. has displayed a significantly changed appearance after allegedly receiving a cosmetic treatment following Brazil’s elimination from the Men’s World Cup 2026.
Images of the Real Madrid forward began to circulate online after he visited a facility in Goiania, Brazil. His changed facial characteristics instantly drew notice, with some fans stating the 26-year-old was nearly unrecognisable.
The therapy was characterised as chin harmonisation, which is a cosmetic technique that employs fillers to alter facial features without requiring traditional surgery.
Vinicius Jr. apparently desired more definition around his chin and jawline. The images revealed a much stronger and more prominent lower face than fans were used to seeing throughout the World Cup.
What surgery did Vinicius have?
According to TMC, dermatologist Alessandro Alarcao administered the therapy after travelling from Miami to Brazil just for the visit.
Chin harmonisation might include injectable fillers placed around the chin and jaw to adjust proportions and create a more defined profile. Although some sources describe the technique generically as surgery, it does not always include surgical incisions.
Vinicius Jr, was pictured at the facility shortly after his therapy. Any swelling observed in those first photographs may indicate that his look will change once the acute symptoms have subsided.
The photos rapidly became the subject of internet jokes and comparisons. Several followers claimed Vinicius now resembled former Chelsea and Brazil star Ramires, who also reacted.
The cosmetic operation occurred immediately after Brazil’s World Cup elimination.
Brazil fell to Norway in the Round of 16, but Vinicius remained one of the team’s standout players. He ended the tournament with four goals and one assist in five outings.
His focus will now shift to his future at the club as he prepares to report for preseason training with Real Madrid.
