Endrick Felipe - Who is Brazil’s next star boy?

With his debut for Palmeiras at the age of 16, Endrick Felipe, the next Brazil sensation has made headlines in Europe. His recent debut for Palmeiras has seen footballing world recognising him as the next best player. But the player has endured a difficult lifestyle before embarking on new journey. Many clubs have already expressed interest in the 16-year-old, with Real Madrid and Barcelona being linked.
Endrick's reputation grew in Europe when he began playing for Palmeiras' youth team. It is where he matured into a complete striker and subsequently became Brazil's brightest prospect and could be Europe's next star.
Endrick, one of the youngest debutants in Palmeiras senior team history, has a long way to go of him. Like many others, he comes from a poor household. Born on July 21, 2006, Endrick began playing football at the age of four, and his father used to share his football videos on YouTube in order to draw the attention of big identities from Brazilian clubs.
He promised to become a professional football player to support his family in need, and his father was unemployed before he got a cleaner job in Palmeiras.
Endrick's perseverance paid off seven years later when he joined Palmeiras' youth team, where he built into one of the club's best strikers. Although, he almost joined Sao Paulo before signing with Palmeiras and becoming a household name in the youth team.
Prior experience
Endrick Felipe has always been compassionate and diligent for the club since his debut for the youth team, and his dedication to the sport has seen him come to the fore as a talented player. Endrick is a clinical striker, who has 165 goals in 169 games for Palmeiras' youth teams in five years at the club.
His performance pleased the manager, and he also competed in the 2022 Copa Sao Paulo de Futebol Junior, where he was the tournament's star, scoring seven goals in seven games. Despite dominating the headlines and capturing the attention of European football, the 16-year-sole old's sights are set on playing football.
After impressing in the youth team, he was contacted to the senior team, where he recently made his debut at the age of 16, making him the club's youngest player in history. He came on in the 69th minute to replace Rony, the centre-forward. And as he demonstrated his talent, he was applauded by the crowd every time he touched the ball.
Which clubs are after him?
For the time being, Barcelona and Real Madrid are the only clubs interested in young talent. Barcelona representatives have met with the player's camp. They will bring him to the club when he turns 18 on July 21, 2024. Endrick, on the other hand, has already signed a three-year contract extension until 2025, with a €60 million release clause.

Despite his height of 5'8", Endrick is recognised as a complete striker. And his 165 goals in the youth team prove that he will arguably make his identity in Europe. The player is tenacious on the field and has excellent finishing skills. Endrick's goal-scoring ability has been compared to Brazilian Ronaldo's; the player is left-footed and can take on 1-2 defenders.
