Lucas Herrington is set to complete a move to the Premier League.
Hull City have been active in the summer transfer window following their promotion to the English Premier League, adding seven first-team players to their roster. The latest player to join the Tigers is Australian youngster Lucas Herrington, who is set to complete a switch from Major League Soccer (MLS) side Colorado Rapids.
According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, the Premier League side is set to secure the services of the 18-year-old defender for a fixed fee of $15 million, with a further $5 million in add-ons. The Rapids have also added a 15% sell-on clause in his contract.
Herrington is the second defender to join Hull, with left-back Matt Targett arriving following the expiry of his Newcastle United contract. He spent the previous season on loan at Middlesbrough.

Lucas Herrington profile so far
Born in Brisbane, Herrington spent his youth career with the academies of Taringa Rovers, Toowong FC, Brisbane City FC, and Brisbane Roar. He made his senior debut for the latter side in December 2024, appearing in an A-League match against Western Sydney Wanderers. He scored his first senior goal in January against Sydney FC.
He made 28 league appearances for Brisbane Roar across two seasons, prompting Colorado Rapids to sign him for €900k. Since his move to the United States, he has established himself as one of the best defenders in the league, appearing in 18 league matches.
Also eligible to represent Germany, Finland, and Zimbabwe, he opted to represent his country of birth, Australia. He made his Socceroos debut in March, playing in a friendly against Cameroon. He also represented his nation in the FIFA World Cup 2026, featuring in the final group game and the Round of 32.
Overall, the youngster has earned six international caps, but he is yet to open his international account.
