Belgium took on Spain in the FIFA World Cup 2026 quarter-final clash at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on July 10. La Roja took the lead through Fabian Ruiz, but Charles De Ketelaere equalised before half-time.
The Red Devils successfully held off the Spanish forwards, neutralising the threat of Lamine Yamal and Mikel Oyarzabal. However, they suffered a big setback in the second half when Thibaut Courtois was forced off with an injury, with backup goalkeeper Senne Lammens taking his place.
