Thompson joined the Lambeth Tigers junior academy as a youngster. After his time there, he joined Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League club youth academy. There he helped the club’s under-17 team win the 2025 U17 Premier League Cup before joining the senior squad in 2025.
Thompson was born in London and spent the majority of his career at Tottenham. However, due to limited opportunities and a lack of a route to the first team at Spurs, he was looking for a new club this summer. It opened the door for United.

Tynan Thompson is an England youth international. He made his England under-18 football debut on September 3, 2025, in a 3-1 friendly away win over Uzbekistan’s under-17 squad.
