La Albiceleste are now going to their second successive grand finale at the mega competition.

The Argentina national football team are through to the FIFA World Cup 2026 final. They took down the England national football team by a scoreline of 2-1 in what was an intense semi-final at the Atlanta Stadium.

The Lionel Scaloni-led side came up with a masterclass of a comeback. They were down by a goal after Anthony Gordon gave England an Advantage in the 55th minute. It was a superb effort by the Three Lions to pile up immense pressure on the defending champions, but Argentina showed resilience where it mattered the most.

Lionel Messi played an important role in the comeback. He came up with two assists. One for Enzo Fernandez to equalise and the other for Lautaro Martinez to score the match-winning goal. They continue to produce top performances in the FIFA World Cup 2026 knockout stages. The Argentina national football team is now just a game away from winning the prestigious trophy for the fourth time.

Led by Lionel Scaloni, the Argentina national football team have now secured a spot in their second successive FIFA World Cup final. They will now go up against Spain at MetLife Stadium on July 19.

It will be a battle no one is going to miss out on. La Albiceleste are the three-time winners of the competition. La Roja clinched the World Cup crown in 2010 and are now in their second-ever final of the mega tournament.

With the likes of Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martinez and Enzo Fernandez, Argentina will be confident for the climactic game. The Spaniards will have a tough competition to face.

For the bronze medal, it will be France vs England.
