The forward has been prone to injuries.
Arsenal might be without a key player for a long while. Bukayo Saka missed today’s Premier League encounter against Everton due to a thigh injury he picked up against Bayern Munich. Early indications have left Mikel Arteta afraid the condition might be worse than initially thought.
The England international was pulled off barely 10 minutes into Wednesday’s 2-2 Champions League match in Munich with a thigh injury. Arsenal are awaiting additional medical evaluations, but sources say the winger might be out for six weeks or more. That’s not a definite schedule for a recovery yet, but Arteta’s own statements have been a cause for concern for fans.
Bukayo Saka fell down holding his upper thigh following a pass against Bayern, with no clear challenge right before the incident. He hobbled off the pitch and was substituted by Eberechi Eze.

“Initially it was difficult to assess because of the fluid that was around the region of concern,” Arteta said ahead of the Everton game that Saka would require another MRI scan, other exams and professional views before Arsenal could tell how bad the injury was.
“When a player is struggling to walk without any pain, he’s restricted in movement, they are not good signs,” Arteta said.
The worry is that this might be something more than a short-term muscular issue. Arsenal think the player might be out for six weeks, The Guardian said, with some sources claiming the layoff could be up to eight weeks.
The true impact of the Bukayo Saka injury is not yet known, with Arsenal not providing any kind of timescale.
