Chelsea FC will be back in action after their 6-4 win against Western Sydney Wanderers in their previous club friendly. They are all set to take on Tottenham Hotspur for their second pre-season game at Accor Stadium in Sydney, Australia.
The Xabi Alonso-led side looked quite vulnerable in defence, which they must work on ahead of the new season. They conceded four goals against the A-League club. The Blues allowed a lot of open space to their opponents, which consistently put them under pressure. They had more control of the game after 60 minutes as Alonso made numerous changes in the squad.
Joao Pedro was the standout performer off the bench. He first provided a sensational assist to Jamie Gittens and then went on to score a hat-trick. The Brazilian forward came up with a top effort and will be looking to help his side against Tottenham this time around.

Enzo Fernandez and Reece James have not travelled with the Chelsea squad to Australia due to their recent participation in the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Fernandez reached the final with Argentina and James helped England secure a third-place finish on the grandest stage of them all. Their absence from the squad might be problematic for the Blues here, but with the right tactics, Xabi Alonso will be able to manage.
Chelsea are not going to be a part of any European competition during the 2026-27 campaign due to their 10th-place finish in the English Premier League last season. They are going to have a chance to fight for the domestic treble of the Premier League, Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.
They have signed Morgan Rogers for a hefty amount and it will be interesting to see him perform in Blue colours.
