The race for the title this season has been one the fans of Italian football have yearned for.

Serie A is one of the top leagues in Europe and gets a million viewers worldwide following every minute detail of their favourite game while supporting their respective clubs. It's hard to come across fans who are as passionate about their game as much as the Italians, cheering on their teams with vigour and excitement. Of late, Italian football has turned into a one club show with Juventus winning every season since 2011 with no one to challenge them for the title. Sure, Napoli and Roma did come close but were unable to get the job done in the end. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] This is exactly where Inter Milan come into the picture. The Nerazzurri's rise this season has been an absolute delight to watch! They have become a legit threat to the defending champions this season and are currently six points behind Juventus in the table after 24 games. Going by the form the team is in, it will be interesting to see what happens at the end of the season and who gets their hands on the coveted Serie A league title. The performance of Inter Milan this season has been like a breath of fresh air. They along with Lazio who are currently in second position, have reinvigorated their respective teams and have successfully managed to break down the monotony. Considering the recent record, midway through the season, one can anticipate who the winner is going to be. The vast point gap at the top means the only competition that remains in the Serie A is for Champions League qualification. However, with Inter Milan and Lazio both brushing shoulders with Juventus, the story of this season in particular is different. Inter's game-play this season has been brutal and reminds many of the club's spell between 2005-2010 where they won five Serie A titles consecutively. [KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] Antonio Conte, the current manager, certainly deserves the credit for this resurgence. Within one year of his appointment at the helm, the former Juventus and Chelsea gaffer turned things around. Conte implemented a more attacking style of play, a rarity in Italian football where most teams are defence-oriented. His chosen 3-5-2 formation has been a nightmare for the opposition teams while his defence too has been hard to break. Despite his attack-oriented tactics, Inter Milan have a solid defence that is second only to Lazio in terms of goals conceded (22 goals). Speaking of the attack, it has been on point with Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez firing all cylinders. It has been a treat to watch the duo for all footballing fans alike, more so for the Inter Milan fans. Joining the Nerazzurri in 2019, Lukaku shrugged off his disappointing run of form on his debut against San Siro where he netted his first goal against Lecce in a 4 -0 win. The Belgian has not looked back since and is currently the third highest goalscorer after Ciro Immobile and Cristiano Ronaldo with 17 goals. Not too far behind is his striking partner Lautaro who too has 11 goals this season. What's impressive is that Conte has been able to make a  perfect team out of players who were going through a hard phase earlier and had just come into the squad. Ashley Young, Christian Eriksen, Victor Moses, Alexis Sanchez are some examples who have all come from a poor form in the Premier League but have done wonders at their new club adapting to situations perfectly. So Serie A isn't just a Cristiano Ronaldo show anymore! Inter have been able to add that unpredictability to the league which was missing for all these years. The crowning of a new champion this season shall change things and mark the beginning of a new era in the Serie A.
