All of the last five meetings between these clubs ended in favour of Los Blancos!

For their fourth club friendly contest ahead of the new season, Real Madrid locked horns with newly promoted Deportivo La Coruna at the Estadio Abanca-Riazor.

Led by Jose Mourinho, Real Madrid still have a lot to prepare for the 2026-27 campaign. The European giants have been quite busy in the summer transfer window. Out of those new signings, only Denzel Dumfries, Bernardo Silva and Carlos Espi have been in action. World Cup winner Marc Cucurella, the young Yan Diomande and Ibrahima Konate are yet to play their first game for Los Blancos.

Rodrygo, Raul Asencio and Eder Militao are the injured stars ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. Thibaut Courtois also suffered an injury while playing for Belgium in the FIFA World Cup 2026, but is expected to return to action sooner than others.

Having failed to secure any trophies, Real Madrid had a poor 2025-26 campaign. With new signings and a new manager, it will be interesting to see their performances in the upcoming season.

Both Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham have returned to training for Real Madrid. These stars are coming in after a long FIFA World Cup campaign with France and England, respectively. After just returning to training, they still need some time to gain back football fitness after their post-World Cup break.

Mbappe and Bellingham are going to play a crucial role for Los Blancos under Jose Mourinho. With proper tactics, both of these star players are set to shine for Real Madrid in the upcoming season.

Arda Guler has shown some promising performances under Mourinho during the ongoing pre-season run. Vinicius Junior has renewed his contract with Los Blancos and is going to be another important star set to perform well under the new management. Other crucial players who can leave an impact are Federico Valverde, Yan Diomande and Bernardo Silva.
