Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr are now back in the AFC Champions League Elite. For their round 1 fixture of the competition, they are going to take on Al Ain at the Hazzi Bin Zayed Stadium.
After winning the Saudi Pro League last season, the Big Yellow became once again eligible to compete in the elite Asian tournament. During the 2025-26 campaign, they battled it out in the AFC Champions League two and it did not end in their favour. After dominating the competition, Cristiano Ronaldo and company lost to Gamba Osaka in the final. This time around, they will be aiming to become the Asian champions.
The UAE Pro League side, Al Ain, have been performing well in the league and will be confident for their opening game of the ACL Elite. They haven’t faced a defeat in their last five matches, and being at home for their upcoming contest is only going to be a positive advantage for them. Al-Zaeem will only be looking to take down Al Nassr, but it is not going to be an easy outing for them.
