FC Barcelona will travel to RAMS Park in Istanbul to take on Galatasaray in a second-round fixture of the UEFA Champions League 2026-27 on Tuesday night. The Catalan side enter the fixture having won all nine of their matches across all competitions.
The Blaugrana have also been a free-scoring side, netting 39 goals during that period, making them one of the most feared sides in Europe at the moment. Lamine Yamal has scored nine goals and registered eight assists, while Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi have also made immediate impacts.
Despite being the heavy favourites to continue their winning streak, Barca will be without some key players due to injuries. Frenkie de Jong and Andreas Christensen will miss out, but no player will be missed as much as captain Raphinha, who has been ruled out of the upcoming clash.

Raphinha suffered a thigh injury while on international duty with Brazil and subsequently returned to his club for further tests. While the examinations revealed that the injury was not serious, the Brazilian has played no part in the club’s previous LaLiga clash against Getafe.
The Blaugrana skipper has since returned to training on the pitch, with a report from journalist Santi Ovalle confirming that the winger has taken giant strides on his road to full recovery. However, the club has refused to rush him back to action considering his importance.
Therefore, Hansi Flick confirmed that Raphinha will miss the upcoming clash against Galatasaray and will not travel to Istanbul with the rest of the team.
“He doesn’t have a serious injury. He had too many injuries last season, and we have to be careful,” Flick said before the Getafe match. “He won’t play tomorrow or against Galatasaray.”
The Brazilian is likely to mark his return to the pitch during Barcelona’s upcoming LaLiga fixture against Real Betis.
