The French centre-back William Saliba has been out with an injury since the 2026 World Cup!
Arsenal are travelling to Fortuna Arena for their fourth league phase outing of the UEFA Champions League 2026-27 season. They will battle it out against Slavia Prague in what can be a promising contest.
Led by Mikel Arteta, the Gunners have secured two wins in their first three UCL matches this season and are unbeaten in the tournament so far. They might not have been the most consistent side this season, but are still more than capable of producing sharp performances.
Arsenal were recently knocked out of the Carabao Cup after a loss to the fourth-division club, Fleetwood Town. They got back to the winning ways after their 1-0 victory against Liverpool in the Premier League. Arteta’s men have only secured three wins in their last five matches, which is not good by their standards. The Gunners will now look to gain some momentum and must secure a win away from home in the UCL.
Slavia Prague haven’t won a Champions League match since 2007, will they be able to break the streak now?

He has been out for around four months due to a back problem and still needs some time before becoming a starter for the Gunners once again.
“His evolution has been as expected, which is not always the case. He feels very comfortable. He played 45 minutes behind closed doors last week. He feels ready to go now, so whether we use him or not is a matter of what the team needs.”
“We are going to have the opportunity to … manage the congestion of the players in a much better way than we have actually done it,” said Arteta during the pre-match press conference.
In William Saliba’s absence, the £55million summer signing, Ezri Konsa, has done a great job in the backline of Arsenal alongside Gabriel Magalhaes. The French centre-back might be ready, but will only come in as a substitute in the second half.
