Bosnia & Herzegovina will meet Qatar on June 25.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will play their last Group B match of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026 against Qatar in search of their first World Cup triumph. Sergej Barbarez’s side drew 1-1 with Canada in his team’s first game, was punished with a 4-1 loss to Switzerland in the second, to finish with 1 point from 2 games.

With qualification hopes hanging in the balance, Bosnia need a positive result against Qatar to keep alive their chances of progressing. Qatar, meanwhile, are also searching for their first points after defeats to Switzerland and Canada.

The Balkan side is expected to make at least one enforced change to the lineup that started against Switzerland. Defender Tarik Muharemović will miss the match after receiving a red card in the previous fixture, opening the door for Nikola Katić to return to the starting XI.

Nikola Vasilj is likely to remain on as a goalie for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Amar Dedić and Sead Kolašinac are expected to be the two full-backs in the back four, while Nikola Katić and Nihad Mujakić will be the central defensive duo, though Tarik Muharemović is suspended.

Midfield is expected to see Amar Memić and Kerim Alajbegović staying on the flanks while Benjamin Tahirović and Ivan Šunjić are set to be in central midfield. The quartet will work to balance and provide support on attacks.

Further forward, Ermedin Demirović is expected to partner captain Edin Džeko in a two-man strike force. The pair will carry Bosnia’s goalscoring responsibility as the team looks to register its first win of the tournament.
