105,000 fans queue for tickets to witness Kylian Mbappe's Real Madrid presentation

The French star is set to wear No.9 next term

105,000 supporters were waiting in line online in an attempt to secure a ticket for the upcoming Kylian Mbappé‘s presentation at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

On July 16, Mbappe will be unveiled in front of the whole Bernabeu after it was confirmed that the attacker left Paris Saint-Germain to sign as a free agent for Real Madrid.

After announcing that Mbappé will wear the vacant No. 9 jersey this season, the La Liga winners put their new 2024–25 uniforms available for purchase with the player’s name on them for the first time on Thursday.

Additionally, Madrid announced that midfielder Eduardo Camavinga would wear number six, Federico Valverde would wear number eight, Aurélien Tchouaméni would wear number fourteen, and Turkey’s rising star, Arda Güler, would wear number fifteen.

The attacker struggled after fracturing his nose in their initial game, scoring only once, and was eliminated with France in the Euro 2024 semifinals this week after they were defeated 2-1 by Spain on Tuesday.

On June 3, Real Madrid revealed the much-awaited signing of Mbappé; however, the player’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain ended on July 1, and he didn’t formally join the team until July 1.

Prior to that, Mbappé will officially sign the new agreement formally at Madrid’s training facility, hosted by club president Florentino Pérez. Following that, Mbappé will respond to questions from reporters at the Bernabéu press room.

Florentino Perez, the president of Los Merengues, will be joined on stage by Jose Martinez Sanchez, well known as “Pirri,” who is an honorary president and a club icon.

The magnificent number 9, which has been worn by club luminaries like Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo (first season, 2009-2010), and Ronaldo Nazario, has been revealed as the number that the French superstar would wear in the upcoming season.
