The Hammers are getting closer to the signing of Wan-Bissaka.

Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and West Ham United have reached a personal agreement. It will only be a matter of time until the Hammers meet and agree to United’s asking price for the player.

United are said to be accepting £15 million for the right-back after bringing him from Crystal Palace for £50 million in 2019. However, the Red Devils might have to lower their price given that the London-based club feel they can strike a deal for around £10 million.

The 26-year-old had earlier turned down a deal to join the Hammers. But it appears now he is open to signing for them. This will allow United to push for the signing of Noussair Mazraoui, who has given United the go-ahead to bring him from Bayern Munich.

The Wan-Bissaka exit will come as a surprise to many after the right-back found his groove under Erik ten Hag. He is one of the best players for them defensively. The Englishman has provided the club with defensive steals and upgraded his performance in the past two years.

However, Manchester United feel the 26-year-old’s exit needs to be completed before they move for more signings. Denzel Dumfries is another right-back option United could look to sign once the departure of the Wan-Bissaka is confirmed.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has not done enough to make a difference at United since moving in from Palace. Given that United paid a high price to recruit him in 2019, many see his signing as a failure. However, after Ten Hag joined, the full-back was able to settle in and started to play a significant role.

The fact that United signed him for a high price and that he may now depart for an inferior amount means that his departure will be an enormous blow to the team. This might throw off the balance of their finances. However, it will free up space for fresh recruits.

United have already agreed personal terms with the Moroccan right-back. Once Wan-Bissaka leaves, they will then press for the Bayern player’s signing.
