Adrien Rabiot turns down Liverpool move; eyes Manchester United switch

The Frenchman is currently a free agent after his Juventus deal expired.

In light of his links to Manchester United, rumours state that France star Adrien Rabiot “rejected” an offer from Premier League powerhouse Liverpool.

In recent years, Rabiot has been strongly connected with a transfer to the Premier League, and Manchester United have frequently been mentioned as a potential destination.

Last summer, the seasoned midfielder was predicted to leave Juventus. But ended up signing a one-year deal with the Serie A Side.

Rabiot continued to be a vital member of Juve’s squad in the 2023–24 season, with three assists and five goals in 31 league appearances.

But it was recently announced that, when his one-year contract expires at the end of June, he will be moving away this summer. It has been suggested that Man United and Liverpool are rumoured to be interested in signing him this summer.

United have so far made two signings this summer while the Reds are yet to acquire a player under new manager Arne Slot.

United are in the process of finalising many agreements. They appear to be winning the race to sign Noussair Mazraoui and Manuel Ugarte. They may possibly even sign Rabiot.

After Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Naby Keita left Liverpool last summer, Rabiot would have strengthened the midfield with his experience and skill.

The Reds under Jurgen Klopp suffered in this area last season. The Frenchman is a type of player who can make an impact on both ends of the pitch.

The midfield player, though, is looking to play for their Premier League opponents, Manchester United, and has no intention of joining the Merseyside team.
