AI predicts Ballon d'Or 2025 winner

Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele are favourites to win the award.
Every year, France Football magazine presents the Ballon d’Or, the most coveted individual football award, to the player who is thought to be the finest in the world.
There are two voting methods used to select the winner.
First, based on players’ performances from the previous season, writers from France Football and the French daily, L’Equipe, collaborate to create a joint list of 30 official nominees. Sometimes, a small number of former players are also included in this initial screening process.

Over the years, the award has been dominated by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and there have been few players to break their streak. The first breaking of the streak saw Luka Modric win the award in 2018.
Since then, Messi won it thrice, and now the race for the prize has become more open ever since both greatest players left Europe.
AI Picks the 2025 Ballon d’Or Winner
This year’s award will be interesting as well; it will be an open race between all the top-performing players from last season. However, so far this year, there has been a debate over only two players, and they are Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele.
Both stars enjoyed a fantastic season and will be hoping to win their maiden Ballon d’Or this year.
Dembele has a commanding 63% chance of winning the coveted trophy, according to the AI model, considerably more than rising Spanish star Yamal, who has only 13%.
The 2025 Ballon d’Or gala will be held in Paris on Monday, September 22, according to an official announcement from France Football. International journalists, celebrities, and football legends will be present during the event.
