Ronaldo will fly to Spain to recover from the injury.

It has come to light that Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury is more serious than initially believed, and now the Portuguese forward is looking at more time on the sidelines.

On February 28, during Al-Nassr’s Saudi Pro League game against Al-Fayha, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United player was subbed off after sustaining a hamstring injury.

Although the duration of Ronaldo’s absence is still unknown, Al-Nassr manager Jorge Jesus gave a new update on the forward, who could be sidelined for several weeks.

“After tests, we see the injury suffered by Cristiano Ronaldo was more serious than expected.”

“Cristiano will now travel to Spain, like other players who went for treatment when they were injured. His injury required treatment in Madrid with his personal therapist, and we hope he returns quickly and helps the team”. Jesus said.

The 41-year-old hopes to play for Portugal in this summer’s World Cup in North America, which gets underway in the next 100 days. But this latest hamstring injury has raised concern among fans.

Al-Nassr currently lead the Saudi Pro League table by two points with ten league games left, but Ronaldo’s unavailability could lead them to slip. Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury should take one to three weeks to recover if it is a grade one hamstring strain or pull.

As fans wait for more information, it may take four to eight weeks for the damage to recover if it is a grade two injury, which is a partial rupture of the muscle fibres.
