Albania vs Spain: All-time head-to-head record | Euro 2024

La Roja have already qualified for the round of 16 of Euro 2024.
After Qazim Laci and Andrej Kramaric had earlier scored goals, Albanian midfielder Klaus Gjasula had seemingly condemned his country to the most heartbreaking draw against Croatia by scoring a very unfortunate own goal.
Even though Gjasula had only been on the pitch for four minutes when he veered into his own net, the 95th minute at the Volkswagen Parkstadion saw the 34-year-old redeem himself for his earlier transgression with the most incredible of late-game goals.
Albania would have been packing their bags and getting ready to leave their hotel early if Gjasula hadn’t made up for his transgression in the final moments. Sylvinho’s third-place team still have a chance to make their first-ever knockout participation at a major event.
Five days after they dominated Croatia 3-0, setting a significant early precedent in the process, Spain‘s massive match against Italy also featured a lot of own goals.
On June 20, La Roja had the upper hand the entire time and triumphed rightfully when Riccardo Calafiori turned the ball into his own net after 55 minutes, ensuring that Spain advanced to the next round as Euro 2024 Group B winners.
With four goals scored, zero goals given up and six points totalled, Spain have more than proven that they are a legitimate threat to winning the continental prize.
