Manchester United's Amad Diallo gives his verdict on Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi debate

The forwardâs decision wonât go down well with United fans.
In a task, Manchester United forward Amad Diallo was asked to name eight players and then choose the best one in a knockout style.
Diallo cited Alejandro Garnacho as the quickest player he has ever seen, Marcus Rashford as the best player he has ever played with, and Lionel Messi as his childhood hero.
Additionally, he named Cristiano Ronaldo the Premier Leagueâs top dribbler, Didier Drogba the best Ivorian player to have played in the Premier League, and Wayne Rooney the greatest Manchester United player in Premier League history.
For him, Nemanja Vidic was the most influential defender in Premier League history, and Neymar was the ideal winger.
Then, Diallo selected Ronaldo over Drogba, Neymar over Vidic, Messi over Rashford, and Rooney over Garnacho. Eventually, before making a final decision between Ronaldo and Messi, Diallo put his hands over his face, grinned, and said, âSorry, guys, Messi.â
However, his answer may not go well with a few United fans given Ronaldo has played at the club and most of them are devoted fans of the Portuguese. Ronaldo spent his formative years at the English club before becoming one of the greatest players of all time and went on to join Real Madrid subsequently.
But every player has their own preference when picking between Messi and Ronaldo. Diallo has been inspired by the Argentineâs career. Given that both the players play in similar positions it also makes sense how the attacking forward picked the former Barcelona forward.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old has turned into a decisive figure at Old Trafford since the arrival of new manager Ruben Amorim. Diallo now plays a wing-back and has been in sensational form for the Red Devils. He has been influential from the right side, made significant contributions to the club and will hopefully continue to remain a key part of the club.
Diallo will be back in action when United face Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League tomorrow evening.
