Panama are mathematically eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage. Their elimination was confirmed with a 1-0 loss to Croatia at Toronto Stadium on June 23, 2026. It follows a devastating 1-0 stoppage-time loss to Ghana in their first Group L encounter.
Despite a valiant attempt, Los Canaleros failed to pick up any points in their first two games. That ensures their elimination before their final group encounter against England.
Panama’s elimination came after they lost their first two games of the competition. They failed to move to the knockout phase. They also failed to register a single goal in the tournament.
