Argentina will face Jordan in their last group stage game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at the Dallas Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday, June 27. They have already qualified for the knockout stage of the ongoing World Cup.

La Albiceleste will face debutants Cape Verde in their last 2 clashes at the Miami Gardens on July 3. As a result, Lionel Scaloni has decided to rotate his squad for the final group-stage fixture.

Talking about the defending champions’ performance until now, they started their campaign with a 3-0 victory over Algeria, courtesy of Lionel Messi’s maiden World Cup hat-trick. In the second match, they defeated Austria, thanks to Messi’s brace.

Argentina are undoubtedly one of the top favourites to win the title. As the table toppers of Group J, they are also likely to see an easier draw in the knockout round.

Emiliano Martínez will keep the gloves, while Cristian Romero will be replaced by veteran defender Nicolás Otamendi. Marcos Senesi will play at Lisandro Martínez’s spot while Giuliano Simeone and Nicolás Tagliafico will feature on the flanks in the backline.

Leandro Paredes and Exequiel Palacios will play in midfield to provide more balance. Giovani Lo Celso and Nicolás Paz will help in creativity, and Julián Álvarez will be the frontman alongside Lautaro Martínez.
