The only meeting between Argentina and Algeria took place on June 5, 2007, in an international friendly played in Barcelona, Spain. The match turned into an entertaining spectacle that produced seven goals. Argentina appeared to be cruising towards victory after establishing control of the contest, but Algeria repeatedly fought back to keep the game alive.
