Jorginho and Kieran Tierney are among the players who will leave the club.

In a statement, Arsenal stated that 20 players will depart the team this summer as they get ready for the busy summer transfer window.

Jorginho, Kieran Tierney, and other first-team players whose contracts expire on June 30 were on the Gunners’ release list. Raheem Sterling will also depart the squad following his loan stint.

A statement read: “Ahead of the official Premier League announcement of all men’s players who will be out of contract on June 30, we are taking this opportunity to say thank you to those leaving us when their contracts are completed at the end of the month.

“This includes men’s players and scholars who have represented the club at first-team, under-21, and under-18 levels, together with members of our women’s squad, whose departures have been previously announced.”

The statement continued: “In addition, the following players’ contracts also expire on June 30, 2025. Discussions are ongoing, and once matters are finalised between all parties, we will communicate in due course.”

“We thank all the players leaving us for their contributions to the club. You will always be part of the Arsenal family and we wish you all the best of health and happiness in your futures.”

“Any further developments regarding players extending their contracts, as well as joining/re-joining, or leaving us, will be officially communicated when confirmed.”

Kieran Tierney acknowledges that he has “loved every minute” of his six years at Arsenal after saying goodbye to the team during his last few weeks there.

When asked for his parting message, Kieran said: “Just thank you for everything from day one. They supported us through the good times and the bad, and they supported me through some hard times as well.”

“I think that’s what I’m most grateful for, the times where it wasn’t so good or so easy for me is when they probably supported me most, so I’m just very grateful and I feel very lucky to have the support from them.”

Mikel Arteta wants to finally end the Premier League title drought despite coming close to winning the championship thrice in the last three seasons. Arsenal are more than likely to have a busy summer.

The club are looking to sign a renowned striker in the summer window. A prolific centre-forward will be their main target, who can help solve their goalscoring issues and isn’t injury-prone.
