The Gunners are now, unfortunately, second in the Premier League.
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has commented on Bukayo Saka and Riccardo Calafiori’s injury update ahead of the Newcastle United clash.
Due to injuries, the two have missed varied periods of time in recent weeks. They now appear ready to help the Gunners challenge for the Premier League crown.
Mikel Arteta issues positive injury update on Saka and Calafiori

Prior to Saturday’s match against the Magpies, Mikel Arteta made this revelation during his pre-match press conference:
“No [issues]. Bukayo is probably going to be in the squad. So good news. Riccardo in the squad.”
The Spaniard added that Jurrien Timber, who is still missing, will not be able to play the game.
Saka has not featured for Arsenal since he started in the Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester City before the most recent international break. The England winger’s Achilles problem required careful management.
He might get some valuable minutes tomorrow. However, he was unable to beat his race against the clock in time to play Manchester City, rival title contenders, at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.
Saka is ecstatic to be back in the group, according to Arteta, who said, “He was in great spirits today; you could see that today.”
Timber, a defender, hobbled off against Everton on March 14 and hasn’t been seen for almost six weeks. The Dutchman had started in the 2-0 triumph over the Toffees. He was hit in the ankle and forced to leave before halftime due to a groin problem.
After suffering a knock during the 1-0 UEFA Champions League victory at Sporting CP, Calafiori has been out for a little less than Saka and Timber.
When is Arsenal’s next game?
It’s tomorrow at 10 pm IST against Newcastle United.
Will Saka play?
It’s not confirmed if he will start the game, but he could come off the bench.
Who else has returned?
Full-back Riccardo Calafiori.
