Conor McGregor could be banned from attending the Gunners matches.

The Times claim that Arsenal are prepared to carry out an internal investigation because they are dissatisfied with the way UFC fighter Conor McGregor approached the field following the game.

The UFC fighter came to the Arsenal stadium as a guest of 1 Access. According to the report, club sources have disclosed that McGregor was denied entry to the pitch and asked to return inside.

After the game, the renowned fighter was spotted on the field with Bukayo Saka, attempting to rehearse his manoeuvres, which even led the Arsenal player to advise him to “be careful.”

Arsenal set to change their protocols to avoid McGregor’s repeat

The Gunners are taking a close look at the problem and attempting to establish stringent guidelines around the interaction between the players and famous guests.

After witnessing McGregor rehearse his movements on the Arsenal attacker, Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, is also not satisfied with the incident and is reviewing it with the club.

According to Arteta, Saka might have suffered harm as a result of the manoeuvres McGregor was attempting on him.

Martin Odegaard, the Gunners’ captain, is already out, and other players have also missed a significant portion of the season. The last thing Arsenal would want right now is a major player being hurt.

The Premier League‘s biggest teams are acting responsibly in this circumstance and are working to prevent a recurrence of it.

The Gunners are considering a plan that would allow players to socialize with business visitors following games. According to reports, they are also eager to disassociate themselves from the McGregor “brand” because the 36-year-old was found guilty of assault in 2019 among other offences.

After defeating Southampton 3-1 on Saturday to take third place in the Premier League, Arsenal will probably aim to prevent another incident of this nature when they play Shakhtar Donetsk at home on October 22.
