Arsenal players to make England debut aged 18 or under

Myles Lewis-Skelly joined the list recently.
The Three Lions are off to a flying start in their 2026 FIFA World Cup European Qualifiers campaign. The England national football team first secured a win against Albania, where Myles Lewis-Skelly scored the opening goal and became the youngest player to score on his England debut. Harry Kane scored the other goal to double the lead for England.
It was a big feat for Arsenal’s young left-back as he took the first chance confidently and scored a memorable goal. Myles Lewis-Skelly is the fourth Arsenal player to make their England national team debut at 18 years of age or under. In their second World Cup qualification fixture, the Three Lions took down Latvia with ease to cement themselves on the top of the Group K table.

4. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Gunners signed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in August 2011, aged 17. After multiple over-the-top performances, Oxlade-Chamberlain got to debut for the England national football team in May 2012, and the Three Lions secured a 1-0 win over Norway. He made 35 appearances for England from 2012 to 2019.
3. Jack Wilshere
Jack Wilshere was a part of Arsenal’s academy from 2001-2008, after which he went on to join the Gunners’ first team in 2008, becoming the youngest player for them in the league. After his performances impressed everyone and helped him earn a few accolades, Wilshere went on to debut for the Three Lions against Hungary at the age of 18 years and 222 days. This also made him the 12th youngest debutant for the England national football team.
2. Theo Walcott
Theo Walcott was a part of Southampton’s academy who went on to join Arsenal in 2006. After his stellar performances for the Gunners on the attacking front, Walcott became the youngest England debutant as he joined the Three Lions at the age of 17 years and 75 days in 2006. He won many awards and was capped 47 times for the England national football team. Theo Walcott is also the youngest player to score a hat-trick for the Three Lions.

During the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers, Myles Lewis-Skelly made his debut for the England national football team at 18 years and 176 days of age. He also became the youngest player to score a goal in his debut for the Three Lions. Lewis-Skelly also went on to win the Player of the Match award after his stellar performance against Albania.
