The Gunners finished as the runners-up of the Premier League for the third straight time.
Arsenal extended their wait for silverware with their performances in the 2024-25 season. The Gunners did come close to winning the English Premier League title. But they were not as good as the title winners, Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta’s men will be looking to make further improvements. They already have a capable squad, but the manager thinks some additions will strengthen the lineup. It will also allow them to have a better squad depth.
Arsenal may have won the Premier League 2024-25 only if they remained consistent with their performances throughout the season. But that was not the case. They finished second in the 2024-25 league standings.
The only positive thing for them here is that the Gunners will get to compete in the UEFA Champions League in the upcoming season. They stunned Real Madrid in their UCL campaign, but failed to get past PSG in the semifinals of the European tournament. Arsenal will now be looking to improve their attacking front, as they did face some issues in the final third.
The Mikel Arteta-led side faced similar problems during their run in the domestic cup tournaments as well. Newcastle United took them down in the Carabao Cup semi-final, and later the Magpies went on to win the competition.

The Gunners were knocked out in the third round of the oldest club cup competition, the FA Cup. The Gunners fell prey to Manchester United on penalties.
They are now looking to sort out their issues. Adding a big name in their attacking front for the upcoming season is their priority at the moment. Even though they have added players like Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Noni Madueke and others, they are still active on the transfer market, gearing up to sign Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP.
