Atletico are second Spanish club, besides Real Madrid, playing in the tournament.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone revealed the team, which consists of 30 players, that will compete in the 2025 Club World Cup.

Taufik Seidou, a fast-rising teenager from Ghana, has joined Atletico Madrid’s team. The 17-year-old was selected for the 30-man squad for the month-long competition after impressing first-team coach Diego Simeone.

Born in Ghana, Seidou immigrated to Spain at a young age and subsequently joined the Academy of Atletico Madrid, where he has been honing his craft.

Additionally, Atletico Madrid secured their second summer acquisition during the brief transfer window before the Club World Cup, which ended on June 10. To make Juan Musso’s signing from Atalanta permanent, they have reached an agreement with the Serie A club.

Simeone’s side will be one of the favourites to get their hands on the competition, which will include 32 teams, and will be held in the United States from June 14 to July 13, trophy in the summer.

The Spanish club find themselves in a manageable group, one that should allow them to progress to the knockout stage with relative ease.

Paris Saint-Germain of France, the Seattle Sounders of the United States, and Botafogo of Brazil will all be in the same formidable group as Atlético Madrid.

The tournament squad, which has been announced, also includes veterans Koke, Antoine Griezmann, Jan Oblak, and Alexander Sorloth.

On Sunday, June 15, the Spanish powerhouses will play their first match of the event against PSG.

Defenders: Jose Maria Gimenez, Cesar Azpilicueta, Clement Lenglet, Nahuel Molina, Axel Witsel, Javi Galan, Reinildo, Ruben Le Normand, Elias Kositse.

Midfielders: Conor Gallagher, Rodrigo De Paul, Koke, Pablo Barrios, Thomas Lemar, Samuel Lino, Marcos Llorente, Rodrigo Riquelme, Javi Serrano, Tawfiq Sidou, Riam Belaid.

Forwards: Antoine Griezmann, Alexander Sorloth, Angel Correa, Carlos Martin, Julian Alvarez, Giuliano Simeone.
