Austria squad for World Cup qualifiers against Cyprus & Bosnia and Herzegovina; David Alaba included

Austria will face Cyprus & Bosnia and Herzegovina in September’s World Cup qualifiers matches.
Austria will now prepare for their forthcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers as they aim to book their place in the tournament next year.
Austria, under Ralf Rangnick, have been brilliant. The national team have set a high standard in every game in the competition as they always surprise with their impressive performances.
They are in Group H, and the teams that have been drawn in their group won’t pose a big challenge in their pursuit of qualifying for the tournament next year.

With the likes of Romania, Cyprus, San Marino and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rangnick’s side’s path to the event will be less testing as they will hope to finish at the top of the group.
However, Austria will be aware that they shouldn’t be complacent during the qualifiers, as anything can happen, and all the nations in their group will give their utmost to pull off wins.
Since 1998, they have not played in the football’s biggest event. But now it will be a great chance for them to break that curse and reach the final competition, which will take place in Canada, the USA and Mexico.
They will begin their qualifiers journey against Cyprus on 6th September, and three days later will play Bosnia and Herzegovina away from home.
