Ballon d'Or 2024: List of all award winners

Rodri became the first Manchester City player to win the Ballon d’Or.

The Ballon d’Or 2024 wrapped up with many different awards handed out to deserving players, but one of the most sought-after prizes the Ballon d’Or winner surprised many fans this time.

It was one of the unique ceremonies this time with many failing to learn the clear winner until the announcement. Many assumed that Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior would win the prize after his performance last season for Real Madrid.

But in the end, they learnt a different winner, which was Rodri. It was very startling that the Manchester City midfielder won the award despite not winning the Champions League.

However, the Spanish midfielder did have a great season and his statistics spoke for himself last season as he led City to the fourth Premier League title in a row and Spain to the Euro 2024, which seemed enough to guarantee him the award.

However, many wouldn’t agree with Rodri winning the award as fans believed that the Brazilian would take the prize home. Vinicius came second while Jude Bellingham finished third in the podium.

However, there were also other winners as well with Lamine Yamal winning the Kopa Trophy, after enjoying a sensational breakout season with Barcelona last year.

The forward was also important in Spain’s Euro 2024 victory against England in the final, and this season he has continued his brilliant form for the club.

With the 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony over now, we take a look at the winners of every award in the below article.
