Barcelona make Marcus Rashford 'priority target' after missing out on Nico Williams & Luis Diaz: Report

The Catalan club are ready to open talks with United.

According to Sky in Germany, Marcus Rashford of Manchester United is now FC Barcelona’s obvious left-wing target.

Barca are “prepared to go all-in” and are anticipated to try to reach an agreement. This is because Nico Williams has inked a new contract with Athletic Club, and Liverpool have turned down their advances for Luis Diaz.

Despite being granted more time off, the forward has returned to Carrington and is using the gym and rehabilitation facilities to work away from the first squad.

The 27-year-old is one of five Manchester United players who have indicated a wish to depart and are free to consider a possible transfer.

Rashford, who said he sought a “new challenge” prior to joining Aston Villa for the second half of the previous campaign, has lost the No. 10 shirt to Matheus Cunha.

Rashford has been informed that he is not part of Ruben Amorim’s plans. The England international is eager to look for opportunities elsewhere, according to Sky Sports News. Following his return from his loan at Villa, Rashford has not received any formal bids.

Rashford wants to play in the UEFA Champions League the following season, but doesn’t want to relocate to London. Additionally, his representatives oppose their client participating in any part-exchange agreements.

In the event that Rashford leaves United this summer, Barcelona are still his top choice. The possibility of relocating to Catalonia is also enticing.
