Raphinha feels Barca were robbed in the game.
Barcelona’s Champions League quest ended on a sour note despite igniting the hopes of a comeback after scoring two goals in the first half.
Atletico Madrid responded in no time. Meanwhile, the visitors continued their search for an equaliser, but never managed to find one. They once again suffered a bitter elimination from the competition.
One of Barca’s star players, Raphinha, had to witness the game from the stands. The forward had sustained a hamstring injury during international duty with Brazil.
Raphinha calls out the referee due to his poor officiating

After the UCL quarter-final second leg game, the 29-year-old made some comments against the referee, which could now land him in trouble.
“To me, it was robbed,” he told reporters. “Not only this match, but the other one as well. The refereeing was very bad. Incredible the decisions that they made. Atletico made a lot of fouls and the referee didn’t show a single yellow card.”
His comments may now put him in a big problem. UEFA may take action against him, according to reports. Raphinha is now at risk of facing a potential three-match ban from UEFA due to his remarks.
Raphinha could face a three-match ban with those comments
If UEFA decides to impose the ban on him, it will potentially be served next season in the Champions League.
According to UEFA laws, any insulting behaviour or actions that damage the image of football and UEFA in particular may be punished. Barcelona are currently reeling over their elimination. This ban will make things even worse for them even before the start of the new Champions League season.
Meanwhile, they now look to end the season with a league title.
However, it has not been confirmed yet if UEFA are considering banning the forward. It remains to be seen. The Spanish club are now turning their attention to the LaLiga, as they are nine points above second-place Real Madrid in the table.
What did Raphinha say?
He felt his side was robbed by bad refereeing.
How many match bans will he receive?
He could receive a three-match ban.
Who won the second leg?
Barca won the game 2-1, but Atletico won the tie 3-2 on aggregate.
