The Hansi Flick-led are down by two goals heading into the away leg.
FC Barcelona are now going to be at Riyadh Air Metropolitano as they take on Atlético de Madrid. They are going to have a tough contest in their second leg fixture of the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League quarterfinal.
The Blaugrana were reduced to 10 men in their home leg after Pau Cubarsi received a red card. They eventually lost the fixture by 0-2. Hansi Flick’s men failed to perform up to the mark and are now under pressure for the second leg.
After their defeat to Atleti in their UCL contest, Barcelona came out on top with a 4-1 win in their LaLiga outing against RCD Espanyol. They will now be looking to carry their momentum in the European competition.
The Spanish giants can make a comeback, but being away from home is surely going to come up with some challenges for them. They do have a stacked lineup, but their strategy needs to be on point if they want to get to the UEFA Champions League semifinals.
At the moment, the Blaugrana do have a well-balanced squad. Players like Raphinha, Andreas Christensen and Jofre Torrents are going to sit out due to their injuries.
Even though Marc Bernal has been included in the squad, but he is still not medically cleared.
Tommy Marques, Xavi Espart, and Alvaro Cortes are some young guns who are called up for the trip.
Pau Cubarsi is not going to be in action for Barcelona after he was given a red card during the quarterfinal first leg.
