Barcelona's Ansu Fati expected to be back from injury after international break
The forward suffered an injury before the start of the new season.
Barcelona sensation Ansu Fati has returned to training after suffering an injury during the pre-season training. The forward is expected to return after the end of the international break.
Fati returned to Barcelona after he was sent on a season-long loan to Brighton & Hove Albion last campaign. The forward barely had a fruitful season with the Premier League side.
He rejoined the Spanish club this summer for training but his season had suffered an early blow. He picked up an injury before Barcelona’s pre-season trip and had to miss the entire games of the pre-season.
Finally, the club can expect him to be back after the end of the international break. He hopes to build full fitness and get equipped for his next Barcelona game, whenever called upon. Hansi Flick is also believed to be counting on the player for this season.
Fati was once seen as the successor of Lionel Messi. He was also handed the No. 10 when Messi left the club. But everything came falling down for the forward. He kept suffering serious injuries which kept him out for a very long time.
Barcelona then considered sending him on loan. The plan was to allow Ansu Fati to show his talent in a new environment but the player struggled to make an impact.
The player’s situation has been extremely gloomy. He has been unable to gain the fans’ trust and unable to perform consistently. Fati still has a lot of years ahead of him. He can still make the most of his career because he is still young.
If he can avoid injuries then Barcelona will once again give him a chance to demonstrate his value to the club. Flick will be keen to nurture the forward this season.
Given that the team were unable to sign Nico Williams, Fati has the chance to seize this moment and establish himself as a key member of the team. He is still a very underappreciated talent who with some work can undoubtedly become a household name.
