Bayern Munich's all transfers completed so far in 2024-25
The Bavarians have already completed multiple signings so far in the summer transfer window.
German giants Bayern Munich have commenced their pre-season preparations as well as their transfer activity on the market in order to get geared up for the upcoming 2024–25 campaign.
Following an underwhelming campaign last season, the Bayern Munich hierarchy made the bold managerial appointment of Vincent Kompany at the start of the summer. Kompany will now look to steer the club back to the pinnacle of domestic and European football.
In addition, Bayern have also been very proactive in the transfer market, already completing some serious business. This includes big-name signings such as Hiroki Ito from VfB Stuttgart, João Palhinha from Fulham, and Michael Olise from Crystal Palace, for a total transfer package of €130 million.
After the transfer failed to materialise last summer, João Palhinha finally secured his dream move to Bayern in this transfer window. During his two-year stint at Fulham, the 29-year-old Portuguese was consistently ranked as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League.
Another incredible signing from England was of talented French winger Michael Olise, who enjoyed a breakout campaign at Crystal Palace during the 2023-24 season.
In order to bolster their defence, the Bavarians also successfully executed the smart recruitment of Hiroki Ito from VfB Stuttgart. With his stalwart performances in the backline, the 25-year-old versatile defender helped Stuttgart finish second in the Bundesliga.
Following a fruitful six-month loan deal at the club, Eric Dier permanently signed for Bayern Munich as a free agent on the expiration of his contract at Tottenham Hotspur.
Bayern further showcased their incredible recruitment for the future with the shrewd signings of Armindo Sieb, Nestory Irankunda, and Bryan Zaragoza for a bargain combined fee of just €18 million.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich are yet to generate substantial funds from outgoing transfers in order to further strengthen their squad with world-class signings.
The biggest departure of the transfer window so far for the club has been that of talented attacking midfielder Malik Tillman. Tillman permanently signed for Dutch side PSV Eindhoven on a four-year contract.
The upcoming talented youth crop of Bayern, which includes players such as Gibson Nana Adu, Maurice Krattenmacher, Lovro Zvonarek, Armindo Sieb, Paul Wanner and Frans Krätzig, have all been loaned out to various German clubs across the pyramid for the upcoming season.
The experienced duo of right-back Bouna Sarr and striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting have both departed Bayern this summer as free agents on the expiration of their respective contracts. Both the players are still on the lookout for a new club to play for next season.
With Bayern Munich far from done in terms of bolstering their squad, further potential incomings and outgoings are expected in the remainder of the summer transfer window.
