Bayern will return to league games after a 1-0 win over Arsenal in UCL

The “training pitch looks full,” according to Thomas Tuchel, following the injury returns of four Bayern Munich players who could play against Union Berlin on Saturday.

Tuchel, the former manager of Chelsea and PSG, is expected to leave Allianz Arena at the end of the current campaign. He has had a difficult year as Bayern lost the Bundesliga crown to Bayer Leverkusen after 11 years of domination.

Bayern’s last remaining hope to win a title is the Champions League after their early elimination from the German Cup. This week, Tuchel guided his club to a 3-2 aggregate triumph over Arsenal despite enduring a difficult setback.

In Munich, Joshua Kimmich scored the game-winning goal, even though the Premier League team was preferred because of Bayern’s recent problems. Tuchel took a moment to respond to the media after leading his team to victory, according to the Mirror.

Champions League winners in 2013, Bayern will now play Real Madrid for a spot in the Wembley final. The Champions League was won there in 2013. Tuchel guided Chelsea to victory in the competition in 2021, and he is adamant about winning it again.

Harry Kane, a former striker for Tottenham, joined Bayern last summer and might win trophies to cap off his first season in Germany. With one penalty already scored in the first leg, the striker is clear about what the club wants to accomplish.

However, Tuchel’s main focus will be now Champions League given the league is already done and dusted after Leverkusen were declared winners. The German manager will face Real Madrid once again and will hope he will have a fully functional squad ahead of the game.

During his press conference ahead of the league game against Berlin, Tuchel provided some injury updates and said:

Tuchel on the squad: “With Serge Gnabry it’s a race against time for the Real Madrid game. With Leroy Sane, it’ll be a race against time for Frankfurt and Real. We probably won’t take him to Berlin. It’s extremely unlikely.”
