Benfica FIFA Club World Cup 2025 squad: Vangelis Pavlidis, Angel Di Maria & António Silva included

The Portuguese giants will kick things off in Group C.
SL Benfica are now all set to lock horns with Argentine Primera Division side Boca Juniors in their first match of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. It is going to be an interesting fixture to look at as the stakes are high here.
Benfica have already reached the USA and are training hard in Tampa, Florida. The Primeira Liga giants missed out on a couple of titles this season. They finished second in the league and also fell prey to Sporting CP in the final of the Taça de Portugal.
Bruno Lage-led Benfica were only able to clinch a single silverware as they defeated Sporting Lisbon on penalties in Taça da Liga. They now hold eight Taça da Liga titles, the most by any team. They were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League 2024-25 after their defeat to Barcelona in the round of 16.
As they finished second in the Primeira Liga, Benfica will enter the playoffs for the league phase of the UCL. The upcoming season might get a little more hectic for them.
Benfica will have a chance here to showcase their capabilities on the world stage yet again. It is not going to be an easy campaign for them, but they have a good number of individuals in their squad who will be looking to outshine the opponents in the Club World Cup.
