Sesko was replaced during halftime of the game.
Benjamin Sesko was substituted off at half-time during Sunday’s thrilling triumph over Liverpool, and Manchester United fans will have to wait anxiously for his fitness.
The Slovenian international scored in the first half, but a collision left interim manager Michael Carrick with a serious selection dilemma, preventing him from continuing in the second half.
Sesko scored his 11th Premier League goal of the season before his match was cut short, making his afternoon an emotional rollercoaster. Benjamin Sesko was hurt after being thrown into the Old Trafford advertising hoardings by Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate.
The striker had been nursing a pre-existing problem in the lead-up to the North West derby, but the collision seemed to exacerbate it.
Carrick offers injury update on Benjamin Sesko

Carrick didn’t seem very angry, even though the United supporters never like seeing Sesko hobble off. Carrick described the type of blow in an interview with Sky Sports following the final whistle.
“He’s been carrying a bit of a shin problem and when he got pushed into the board, it was right on the spot he’s been carrying a little bit,” Carrick explained.
“So that was it.”
It’s unclear how long the 22-year-old will be sidelined, but it was a precautionary move to withdraw him at the half.
Benjamin Sesko was the main topic of discussion before his forced departure when he doubled United’s lead. The VAR officials conducted definitive evidence checks to ascertain whether a handball had taken place after the ball seemed to wobble off his fingers and into the net. To the dismay of the Liverpool bench, the goal was finally permitted to stand after a protracted three-minute review.
