Three of these goals were scored by Manchester United players.

It is widely considered that the Premier League is the most competitive league in the world. Throughout the years, top players have displayed breathtaking bicycle goals, including Wayne Rooney’s magnificent bicycle kick in the Manchester Derby, which silenced the away Manchester City fans.

The league has been graced by many players who have scored bicycle goals that will go down in history as some of the best. Bicycle kicks are known in England by three different names: overhead kicks, scissors kicks and acrobatic goals. As the latest sensation to score the best bicycle goal in the Premier League history, Alejandro Garnacho joins the list of players who have achieved this feat.

Let’s take a look at the top 10 best bicycle kicks in the history of the Premier League:

10. Sebastian Haller (West Ham vs Crystal Palace in 2021)

When West Ham spent a huge sum to bring Sebastian Haller to the club, much was expected of him. However, he struggled to establish himself in the team, ultimately securing a move to Ajax. Despite making 54 appearances for the Hammers, he scored just 14 goals, which was below his standards given how many goals he scored with other clubs.

It is, however, Sebastian Haller’s bicycle kick against Crystal Palace that will stick in the minds of the fans for a long time. Haller met a cross from Vladimír Coufal and nestled the effort in the top corner with his bicycle kick.

9. Gary Cahill (Aston Villa vs Birmingham City in 2006)

One of the most decorated footballers in history. The Chelsea legend has graced the Premier League with some memorable performances in the last decade. Gary Cahill scored a sublime first-time acrobatic against Birmingham City in his early years at Aston Villa. After reacting first to the ball, he rose highest to score the sensational goal which will be remembered by the fans always.

8. Rory Delap (Southampton vs Tottenham in 2004)

Rory Delap always had a knack for scoring spectacular goals, as demonstrated by his goal against Tottenham Hotspur. After levelling the scores at the time, he netted an impressive bicycle kick, which left the opposition keeper with no chance to save it. The Saints supporters were in disbelief at his goal, which lifted the atmosphere in the entire stadium.

7. Andy Carroll (West Ham vs Crystal Palace in 2017)

It will be remembered that Andy Carroll was one of the best strikers in the league during his time at Newcastle United. However, he was not able to enjoy a successful career because of a series of injuries. As a menace in the box, he had a knack for dominating defenders in the air. As Hammer fans, we will remember his incredible bicycle kick against Crystal Palace, when he stunned us with an incredible technique.

6. Christian Benteke (Liverpool vs Manchester United in 2015)

During his time at Aston Villa, the Belgium International was a renowned centre-forward. With his physical attributes, defenders were in a state of wonder when he got into the box. When Christian Benteke joined Liverpool from Aston Villa, he struggled to establish himself in the team and was eventually sold after just one year. Despite this, his most memorable moment came when he scored a bicycle kick against Manchester United, which went down as one of the greatest in the history of the Reds.

5. Dimitar Berbatov (Manchester United vs Liverpool in 2010)

During his time at Old Trafford, Dimitar Berbatov graced the team with a number of memorable performances. A gifted footballer, he could link up the play well and had a brilliant first touch. 4. Emre Can (Liverpool vs Watford in 2017)

Known for his distribution skills and shielding the back four, Emre Can played for Liverpool for four years during one of his most successful stints. His eye for scoring amazing goals made him one of the best players to play for Liverpool in recent years. After a goalless first half against Watford, he scored an incredible bicycle kick to hand Liverpool all three points.

3. Diomansy Kamara (Fulham vs Tottenham in 2007)

He will be fondly remembered for his spectacular overhead kick in the 90th minute of a thrilling match with Tottenham Hotspur in 2007-08, which levelled the score to 3-3. Wayne Rooney became one of Manchester United’s biggest stars with his spectacular performances. He scored all kinds of goals during his time there. He was a nightmare for defenders due to his ability to score any kind of goal.

In spite of his 253 goals, his best-known goal is the one he scored in the Manchester derby, winning the game with an incredible bicycle kick. It will be remembered as one of the greatest goals in history.

1. Alejandro Garnacho (Manchester United vs Everton in 2013)

Alejandro Garnacho was a revelation to Manchester United last season, taking his form to the next level and scoring some important goals to lead United to the top six of the table. As the young man idolizes another Manchester great Cristiano Ronaldo, he scored an incredible goal against Everton by rising high into the air.
