These five players can lead Denmark to glory in the near future
Denmark have emerged as one of the top footballing nations over the years thanks to the players who have stepped up with their game. Experienced players from Christian Eriksen to the younger ones in Rasmus Højlund seem to have gelled together to play an attacking football which has caused plenty of problems for the opposition.
They have a good defensive unit who are tough to break down. They now have the chance to lead their nation to glory after coming close to securing it in the last edition of the Euros after losing against England in the semi-final. They have started their tenure with a draw against Slovenia in the opening match.

5. Kasper Schmeichel
Kasper Schmeichel is probably one of the most experienced players on the team who has performed consistently for several years with his club and national team. 3. Andreas Christensen
The Barcelona man has been one of the most consistent performers for the national team who has played as a center back, midfielder, and also as right back. Christensen is a technically gifted player who is comfortable with the ball at his feet and is a potent threat from the set-pieces. This season he has made 42 appearances for Barcelona scoring 3 goals and assisting another 2.
2. Rasmus Højlund
Rasmus Højlund had a strong finish to the season after initially struggling to make his mark in the new surroundings. He made 43 appearances for them scoring 16 goals and assisting another 2. Højlund is a pacey striker who uses his physical strength to duel with opposition defenses.
He can hold up the ball excellently higher on the pitch to release the pressure from the team. He is the future of the Denmark national team after making 15 appearances for them scoring 7 goals.

Christian Eriksen has been one of the most crucial players for the Denmark national team who has played a massive role in the push for the finals in the major tournaments. Eriksen has been in fine form this season after playing a crucial role in Manchester United’s FA Cup triumph. He also has made a strong start in the Euro 2024 after netting a goal in the opening match itself. He is also the second in the record appearances in the history of Denmark football after making 131 appearances for them scoring 42 goals.
