Uruguay are one of the top footballing nations in America and has been a dominant team alongside Argentina and Brazil. They have won the Copa America 15 times and are on the hunt for their 16th title to overtake Argentina as the leading nation.
Uruguay begins their campaign against Panama in the opening match and are drawn alongside USA, Bolivia, and Panama in Group C. They have a good balance of experience and youth in the squad. Marcelo Bielsa has done a good job so far and remains to be seen how far they can go in the tournament.

He has a good record with the national team after appearing 23 times for them scoring 11 goals. He had an incredible game in the last friendly against Mexico after netting a brilliant hat-trick against them to continue his excellent run of form under the new regime.

Ronaldo Araujo has emerged as a top center-back at Barcelona with whom he has made 150 appearances becoming a rock in the back. Araujo is a complete defender who is comfortable with the ball at his feet and can also play in the right-back position.
