Borussia Dortmund plan on completing Marcus Rashford signing by end of week: Report

The English star has been left out of the squad by Rúben Amorim on multiple occasions.
By the conclusion of this week, Borussia Dortmund are hoping to sign Manchester United star Marcus Rashford, according to Bild.
It had been previously rumoured that BVB were considering bringing the 27-year-old to the Westfalenstadion, but the winger’s high salary was a major obstacle.
“Of course, Borussia Dortmund is a very interesting club and of course, many players would get in touch with them. But we can not comment on any names right now. We need to wait to do something, perhaps we would do nothing,” said Sebastian Kehl speaking to Khel Now and media, when asked about the Marcus Rashford rumours earlier this month.
However, Dortmund have decided to pursue Rashford after other interested parties withdrew from a race, reports suggest. It is also believed that Die Schwarzgelben are in a strong position to sign the Englishman, and if all goes according to plan, he might be revealed as a Dortmund player by Thursday, just in time for Saturday’s match between BvB and Werder Bremen.
Regarding the deal’s financial feasibility, the report estimates that Dortmund would have to pay between €6 and €8 million to take Rashford on loan because of the forward’s €400,000 weekly contract.
Additionally, Die Schwarzgelben would have to pay United an additional month’s salary, which is reported to be €1.6 million.
This is undoubtedly a big risk for Dortmund because they have very little chance of bringing Rashford back to the Bundesliga after the end of the season. However, if they manage to advance to the Champions League, it would be a brilliant move on the part of the club’s management.
Barcelona are also keen on signing Rashford
Rashford is keen to get back to playing, and Barcelona could be the most alluring choice in a number of ways. However, Barcelona need to comply with financial fair play rules in order for the deal to go through. This proposal depends on Ansu Fati’s departure.
Rashford’s current situation depends on whether he chooses to join Dortmund this week or wait for Barcelona until February 3, the end of the winter transfer window. United’s adamant position that they are not going to loan him to any other Premier League team further complicates matters.
The decisive race between Dortmund and FC Barcelona to secure the forward’s talents on loan for the rest of the campaign is therefore the focus of all attention.
