Brazil will visit Kolkata for friendly against the Indian men’s national team.

The Blue Tigers are set to host The Seleção on 3rd October, 2026, at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan VYBK (Salt Lake Stadium) in Kolkata.

This match will mark the first time that both sides will play each other. The match will be a big test for Khalid Jamil’s Blue Tigers, with Brazil being the highest-ranked nation that India has played in their history.

Brazil will be visiting India after playing 2 matches against Australia later this month in the Sept-Oct International window.

Head Coach – Carlo Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti has won over 30 trophies in his managerial career. He is revered as one of the most decorated managers in world football. Ancelotti has been a coach at the highest level of football for the last 3 decades. He is the only manager to have won the domestic title in each of the top 5 leagues of the world.

Carlo’s playing career was nothing short of extraordinary. As a player, he played in the middle of the pitch acting as the defensive anchor for a legendary AC Milan team with teammates such as Maldini, Baresi, Van Basten & Ruud Gulit. He is a multiple-time UEFA Champions League and Serie A champion.

As a manager, Carlo has managed teams such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli, AC Milan, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) & Everton. Despite his sterling club career, this is his first time as the head coach for the national team. He was appointed as the Head Coach for the Brazilian National Team in the summer of 2025. In his 1 year at the National Team, the Italian head coach has lost only 4 of his 17 matches with the team, his last loss coming in the FIFA World Cup at the hands of the Norwegian National Team.

Assistant Coach – Francesco Mauri

Mauri is a 37-year-old Italian who has been a part of Carlo Ancelotti’s staff for the last decade and a half.

The Italian served as the rehab coach for the French club Paris Saint-Germain between 2011 and 2012. After which, he followed Carlo Ancelotti to other clubs like Real Madrid and then to Bayern Munich, Everton, and Napoli and then back to Real Madrid.

For most of his career, Francesco has served as either the rehabilitation coach or as the fitness coach. Coaching the Brazilian National Football team is his first time serving as an assistant coach.

Assistant Manager – Paul Clement

Clement is a 54-year-old English manager who holds a FIFA Pro License for coaching. He has been associated with Carlo Ancelotti ever since the Brazilian was the manager for the London club Chelsea back in 2008.

Clement had a very short professional career as a footballer. He realised very early into his career that his skills will not be enough to help him continue playing at a higher level, which is why he became a P.E. teacher in England. He used to work with clubs like AFC Wimbledon, Aston Villa and then Chelsea. After becoming the assistant coach of Ancelotti at Chelsea, the Englishman would follow him to other clubs in Europe such as PSG, Real Madrid and even Bayern Munich.

Despite being assistant coach for most of his managerial career, Paul has managed clubs in the lower divisions of England, such as Derby County, Reading FC and even Welsh club Swansea City FC. As assistant manager he has won 9 trophies, most of them alongside Carlo.

Goalkeeping Coach – Claudio Taffarel

Taffarel is a former Brazilian goalkeeper who has been part of the Brazilian coaching staff since 2014.

As a player, Claudio has played for clubs such as Parma, Galatasaray and Internacional in Brazil. He is a legend at the Turkish Club Galatasaray; after a decade with the team, he would serve as their goal-keeping coach and later a short stint as the caretaker manager.

He was also part of Jurgen Klopp’s 2024-25 Premier League-winning side, Klopp bringing Taffarel on in 2021. Claudio would serve the English club until 2025, after which he would focus on only the Brazilian National Team.

Goal Keeping Coach – Marco Antonio Trocourt

Marco Antonio Trocourt (known as Marquinhos) is a 63-year-old Brazilian coach who, during his coaching career, has had the experience of coaching in only Japan and Brazil.

Marquinhos has been a goalkeeping coach since 2005. He would start his coaching career at the Japanese club Gamba Osaka, where he would keep coaching till 2011, when he moved back to Brazil to serve as the head coach for Internacional for 2 years between 2011 to 2013.

After completing his time at the Brazilian club, he would return to be the goalkeeper’s coach of Gamba Osaka between 2013 and 2015. After his second stint at the Japanese club, he would go on to join Sau Paulo FC in Brazil. He would be a part of the coaching staff there for the next 3 years. He would then go on to join the Brazil National Team for one season, after which he would return to Internacional to serve as the Goal Keeping coach until 2025, when he permanently joined Carlo Ancelotti’s coaching staff.

Athletic Coach – Beniamino Fulco

Better known as Mino Fulco, he is a 41-year-old Italian who has served as the performance coach and nutritionist in the coaching staff of Carlo Ancelotti since 2013.

Mino would start out as a nutritionist for the Spanish giants Real Madrid CF. He would then follow Carlo Ancelotti to other clubs such as Bayern, Napoli, Everton and back to Real Madrid. The Italian would join the Brazil National Team alongside Carlo Ancelotti as an athletic coach.

Chief Analyst – Simone Montanaro

Simone is a 54-year-old Italian analyst who holds a UEFA B-level coaching licence. Simone has previously worked with Carlo Ancelotti at Napoli, Everton and Real Madrid.

Before being part of the coaching staff for Carlo Ancelotti, Simone was part of the coaching staff of fellow Italian manager Vincenzo Montella. With Vincenzo, Simone would be the chief analyst of Italian clubs such as Sampdoria, AC Milan and even Sevilla FC in Spain.

Working with Carlo Ancelotti for the Brazil National Team is his first time as a chief analyst fonational team.eam.
