Brazil at Copa America 2024: Full squad, preview, match schedule, venue, telecast info
Selecao will be seeking their 10th Copa America title.
The most successful side in the history of football will be looking to add more glory when they start their Copa America 2024. Brazil have a talented squad that blends experienced veterans with several of its top young prospects.
Headlining the attacking corps are Real Madrid’s trio of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and 17-year-old sensation Endrick, who is set to join the Spanish giants after turning 18. Barcelona winger Raphinha has also been rewarded with a call-up following his impressive Champions League performances.
However, Selecao’s all-time leading scorer Neymar will miss the tournament as he recovers from an ACL injury suffered last fall. Veteran midfielder Casemiro was another surprise omission from the squad after an injury-riddled season at Manchester United.
Other established stars like Antony, Richarlison and Coutinho were also left off the final roster selected by the coaching staff.
As one of the most successful nations in Copa América history with nine titles, Selecao will be among the favourites in this edition of the tournament. They have been drawn into Group D alongside Colombia, Paraguay and Costa Rica.
This marks just the second time the Copa América is being staged in the United States after the 2016 centenary edition. Selecao will be seeking to add another prestigious continental championship to its decorated football legacy
