Neymar has been called up to the squad.
Brazil are under historical pressure to return to the top going into the FIFA World Cup 2026. Although recent competitions have cast doubt on their consistency at crucial times, the Brazil National Team, now managed by Carlo Ancelotti, maintains their position as favourites by combining youth, experience, and an aggressive identity.
The Seleção continue to be associated with qualities, but converting that potential into winning trophies is an obvious difficulty. The team is trying to find the balance required to compete at the top level in North America with both experienced players and up-and-coming prospects.
For Brazil, the South American qualifiers were anything but easy. Concerns regarding the team’s overall performance were raised by their erratic performances, which included a historic home loss to Argentina.
But as the time went on, the team found consistency again and qualified without any major issues. Nevertheless, it became clear that if they want to win the championship, they must get better.
Along with Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland, Brazil are placed in Group C at the 2026 World Cup. They will play their first game against the African team, who are thought to be the group’s most formidable opponent. After that, they will play two matches which they are predicted to win.
The Real Madrid player Vinícius Jr., who takes over as the team’s primary attacking option, will be the centre of attention. The attacker will try to duplicate his success on the international front under Carlo Ancelotti, a coach with whom he has already flourished at the club level.
Raphinha (FC Barcelona), Marquinhos (PSG), and young Endrick—one of Brazil’s most promising players—are other notable figures.
