Brazil predicted lineup vs Scotland for FIFA World Cup 2026

Brazil and Scotland will meet on June 25 IST.
Brazil will head into their final Group C fixture against Scotland aiming to secure a place in the knockout stage of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Dorival Júnior’s side opened the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Morocco before defeating Haiti 3-0 to move onto four points from two matches.
The five-time world champions are in a strong position ahead of their game with Scotland as they’ve still got three points from their first two matches. A positive result would ensure that Brazil would advance to the second round.
Brazil appear to have suffered a major blow in advance of the match with Raphinha having been ruled out for much of the rest of the tournament with a hamstring injury. Barcelona’s winger is likely to bring about alterations in the offensive line.
Who all will be expected in the starting lineup?

Alisson Becker is expected to start between the posts for Brazil. The back four is likely to consist of Danilo and Douglas Santos as the full-backs, with Marquinhos and Gabriel Magalhães expected to continue in central defence.
In midfield, Casemiro is expected to anchor the side alongside Bruno Guimarães and Lucas Paquetá. The trio provide defensive stability and creativity in central areas.
On the wing, Rayan will then be playing the position of the injured Raphinha, while Vinícius Júnior is expected to be playing on the left. Matheus Cunha is likely to be the star of Brazil’s centre-forward.
Vinícius will be one of Brazil’s most potent attacking weapons, and the experience of Casemiro and Marquinhos’ leadership should prove crucial against Scotland. Without Raphinha, Brazil will have to depend on Rayan to give them width and pace on the right flank.

On the other hand, after missing the first two group games due to a calf muscle injury, Neymar Jr. successfully returned to full tactical training and was confirmed fit by manager Carlo Ancelotti. While it is not yet confirmed if he will start or play the full 90 minutes, he is fully available for selection.

Brazil predicted lineup (4-3-3): Alisson Becker; Danilo, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães, Douglas Santos; Bruno Guimarães, Casemiro, Lucas Paquetá; Rayan, Matheus Cunha, Vinícius Júnior.
