The Selecao will face Chile and Bolivia next month.
Brazil will face Chile and Bolivia in the last South American qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Neymar, Vinícius Jr, and Rodrygo are the three key names absent from Carlo Ancelotti’s 23-man Brazil roster for the forthcoming World Cup qualifying matches against Chile and Bolivia.
After hosting Chile at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro on September 4, five days later, Brazil will head to the high-altitude city of El Alto (4,100 meters) to play Bolivia. With 25 points, the Seleção is currently tied with Ecuador for third place in CONMEBOL qualifying.
Carlo Ancelotti reveals why he didn’t pick up Vinicius and Rodrygo

The Italian coach explained his decision by saying he wanted to “get a closer look at players I don’t know as well on a personal level.”
While Neymar was excluded due to a recent leg ailment, the Real Madrid duo was left out merely because Ancelotti feels he currently has an excellent awareness of what they provide to the club.
Vinícius Jr would have been available for the trip to Bolivia, but his absence is also linked to a one-match suspension for yellow card accumulation. Due to recurrent ailments, Neymar hasn’t played for Brazil since October 2023 and is currently recovering.
