05:00 AM: Hello everyone and welcome to Khel Now’s LIVE COVERAGE of the Copa America Group D match between Brazil vs Costa Rica. The kick-off is just a few hours away! Please wait for 30 seconds for the Live blog to load.

Brazil are one of the top contenders to clinch the Copa America this term after coming close to lifting it in the last edition. They are on an excellent run of form after remaining unbeaten in the previous four matches.

The Seleção had excellent preparation before the tournament as they took on Mexico and USA in the friendlies. Against Mexico, they secured a thrilling 3-2 win after Endrick netted the winner in the final minutes followed by a draw against USA in the last match.

Costa Rica head into the tournament in excellent form after registering two consecutive wins in the last two matches. They defeated St. Kitts by winning 4-0 goals in the opening match of the World Cup qualification in an emphatic fashion.

In the last game, they secured a 3-0 win over Grenada to continue their unbeaten streak in the second round. However, these teams do not possess the quality Brazil have in their squad as they lock horns against them in the opening match.

Player to Watch

Vinicius Junior (Brazil)

Vinicius Junior will be the danger man for Brazil in this Copa America 2024 campaign after enjoying a stellar campaign with Real Madrid. He finished the season with 24 goals and nine assists to help them win the LaLiga and UEFA Champions League.

Vinicius Jr. also scored the crucial goal in the UCL final. He can be a potent weapon for them as his ability to beat defenders with his trickery and pace makes him a deadly player in those situations.

Joel Campbell (Costa Rica)

Joel Campbell is probably the most experienced player in the Costa Rica team after making over 139 matches for the team. He broke into the side in 2011 and has scored 27 goals since then.

Campbell has played for some of the best teams in Europe including Arsenal, Real Betis, Villarreal and Sporting. He now plays his club football for LD Alajuelense in his native Costa Rica
